Privacy Policy
This policy explains what this website collects, why, and what happens to it. It covers visitors to the site — not the data we handle inside a client's systems under a managed services agreement, which is governed by that agreement.
Effective January 1, 2026
What we collect
Information you give us
This site has two forms: the Free IT & Security Assessment request and the general contact form. They collect only what we need to respond sensibly to an enquiry.
- Your name
- Your company name
- Your business email address
- Your phone number
- Your approximate number of employees and the city you operate from (assessment form only)
- Your current IT situation, primary concern and preferred contact method (assessment form only)
- The subject and content of your message (contact form only)
We also record the page the form was submitted from and the time of submission, so we can see which pages generate enquiries.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider processes standard web server information, including your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. This is a normal part of serving a website and is used for delivery, security and troubleshooting.
When a form is submitted, your IP address is used transiently to apply a rate limit that prevents automated abuse. It is held in memory only, for a short window, and is not stored with your enquiry or written to a persistent log.
What we do not collect
- We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- We do not run social media tracking pixels.
- We do not buy, sell or rent contact data.
- We do not ask for payment details through this website.
- We never ask for passwords through this website, and you should never send one to us.
How we use your information
We use the details you submit to respond to your enquiry, prepare for a conversation, and follow up about the specific request you made. That is the whole purpose.
We will not add you to a marketing list because you asked a question. If we ever start a newsletter it will be opt-in, separate, and clearly labeled as such.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
We may use a privacy-conscious analytics tool to understand which pages are useful. Where analytics is enabled, it is configured to avoid collecting more than is needed — for example, anonymising IP addresses. Analytics is controlled by environment configuration and may be switched off entirely.
To confirm what is active on the live site, open your browser's developer tools and review the network requests and storage. We would rather you verify than take our word for it.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run this website and respond to you:
- Our website hosting provider, which serves the site and processes server logs.
- Our email provider, which delivers and stores our correspondence with you.
- Our customer relationship management system, where enquiries are recorded so they aren't lost.
- Our analytics provider, where analytics is enabled.
These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or where it is necessary to investigate abuse of this website.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as there is a reasonable business purpose — typically while a conversation is active and for a period afterwards in case you come back to us. If you ask us to delete your enquiry, we will, subject to anything we are legally required to retain.
How we protect it
This site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are validated and sanitized on our server, and access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it. We apply the same security practices we recommend to clients, including multi-factor authentication on the accounts that hold this data.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we are not going to claim otherwise. Please don't send sensitive material — credentials, financial details or confidential client information — through a web form.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what enquiry information we hold about you, correct it if it's wrong, or delete it. Contact us using the details below and we'll deal with it. We may need to confirm your identity first.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights. We will honour applicable rights regardless of whether we are strictly required to.
Children
This is a business-to-business website. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this website handles information, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be described rather than quietly folded in.
